I'm a Devon-based illustrator, community arts instigator, and stop-motion animator. Raised on a diet of Pigeon Street, Creature Comforts, and Monty Python, I have a unique and eclectic artistic sensibility with a penchant for the absurd and a need to explore some of the shadier spots of human experience. My work is playful, dipped in ink, and offers frank social commentary with a humorous twist.

Training
Fresh from completing my MA in Illustration at Falmouth University, I've found my visual habitat, puddle jumping from digital to analogue. My work is a heady cocktail of colours, a car boot of media, 90s typography, stitching, and body parts found in the recycling bin. I also hold a BSc degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine Acupuncture. This training, community practice, and clinical experience instilled in me the importance of engagement and community in empowering the individual, principles that now strongly inform my artistic practice.

Values and Priorities
Whilst my work does explore difficult themes, I'm passionate about reducing loneliness, building community, and fostering inclusion through my art. I believe that art has the power to bring people together and raise morale, and I'm committed to inclusive design, removing barriers to create a vibrant cultural society.
I champion self-care. As the creator of the Self Love Club Zine, a regular workshop host, and the innovator of Art Drop, in partnership with Northern Devon Foodbank and the Burton at Bideford, I can regularly be found brainstorming schemes to build creative confidence and engage "visual magpie" mode.
